I've been looking for this book for a long time, without knowing it. I only knew that there should be a book that covers all the basic information about the breed that this book does. It's helpful without being condecending, and covers everything you need to know both before getting a Bouvier and after. It's definitely a Must Read for all Bouv lovers.
The only thing that threw me off was the reference to "French Edition" - I was worried that it wouldn't be in English! Fortunately, it was.

My husband and I own a 4 yr old Bouvier named Gibson. This book was recommended as one of the books to read before acquiring a Bouv. It has excellent history and standards for both the American and Canadian Kennel Clubs if you choose to show. Some of the pictures of the breed are from the early 1900's are rare and wonderful to see. Since the breed was almost wiped out by the Nazis, most records and pictures destroyed, these pictures are rare and beautiful.
It is a good book for the new Bouv owner or someone who is thinking of buying one.
